First Static Line Class The first Static Line Class will last approximately six hours and will combine lecture and practical instruction. You will make your first static line jump on the same day; weather permitting, from the SKYDIVE ADVENTURES Cessna 182 or 206 plane. Your static line (meaning the parachute is opened automatically) jump will be from an altitude of 3,500 feet. Upon completion of your jump, you will receive a handsome first-jump certificate.
The cost of your class covers your training, your first static line jump and the use of the equipment. We are using top quality state-of-the-art gear. You must be at least 18 years of age to take the class and make the static line jump.
In the interest of safety, the weight limit for student jumpers is 230 pounds. If you have any physical ailments, get a doctor's opinion before enrolling. We discourage anyone with diabetes, epilepsy, or heart trouble from jumping.
On the day of your class, report to the SKYDIVE ADVENTURES drop zone. All classes begin at 8:00 am sharp, rain or shine. The class will last all day. All the equipment you need will be provided. However, if you have a pair of lace-up boots (no hooks) you may bring them. If you wear glasses, bring a retainer strap. If you wear contact lenses, we have goggles.
After your first jump, you must make at least four more static line jumps before progressing to freefall. You will be taught how to pack a parachute and will be required to demonstrate that you are capable of pulling a simulated ripcord during three consecutive jumps. The cost for these jumps includes the rental of equipment.
Static Line Retrain Class If you have been through our Static Line Class in the past 12 months, but have not been able to jump at least once a month to stay current, you are eligible to attend our Static Line Retrain Class at a reduced price. |
