The First Jump Course (Static Line Class) will last approximately eight hours and will combine lecture and practical instruction. You will make your first static line jump on the same day, weather permitting. Your static line (meaning the parachute is opened automatically) jump will be from an altitude of 3,500 feet. Upon completion of your jump, you will receive a first-jump certificate.

The cost of your class covers your training, your first static line jump and the use of the equipment. We are using top quality gear. You must be at least 18 years of age to take the class and in the interest of safety, the weight limit for student jumpers is 230 pounds in street clothes. If you have any physical ailments, get a doctor's opinion before enrolling. We discourage anyone with diabetes, epilepsy, or heart trouble from jumping.

The class fee includes a $50 non-refundable deposit for signing up for a class.

On the day of your class, report to the SKYDIVE ADVENTURES drop zone. All classes begin at 8:00 am sharp, rain or shine. The class will last all day. All the equipment you need will be provided. However, if you have a pair of lace-up boots (no hooks) you may bring them. If you wear glasses, bring a retainer strap. If you wear contact lenses, we have goggles. We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing but no hoodies.

After your first jump, you must make at least four more static line jumps before progressing to freefall. You will be taught how to pack a parachute and will be required to demonstrate that you are capable of pulling a simulated ripcord during three consecutive jumps. The cost for these jumps includes the rental of equipment.
